Concessions for expats returning to New Zealand

If you are returning to New Zealand after 21 months or more overseas, you are entitled to concessions (conditions apply) when importing a private motor vehicle, including motorhomes/campervans and caravans.

This will be classed as Personal Effects.

We can advise you of the importing rules around this and recommend you talk to us first before planning to import a particular motorhome.

Not all motorhomes will comply in New Zealand.
