Hahei Holiday Resort

Famous for it's spectacular, pink sandy beach, stunning Hahei and Mercury Bay scenery, and close to world-famous Cathedral Cove.
Hahei Holiday Resort is right on idyllic Hahei beach, a walk away from the local takeaways and convenience store.

This is a large campground with lots of options for sites, and you can hire kayaks.

Don't miss checking out beautiful Cathedral Cove.  You can walk there or book a boat trip – we recommend Hahei Explorer.

Pakiri Beach Holiday Park

Famous for it's horse treks, Pakiri means, 'a smile revealing the teeth'.
Although the best time to go to Pakiri is during summer, to make the most of the fabulous swimming beach, it is an absolutely beautiful place to visit in winter!

No crowds, long walks on the never-ending white sandy beach and local pubs to visit.

There’s also the famous Matakana market on the Saturday.

You will not be disappointed be Pakiri.

No dogs allowed.

Raglan Holiday Park

Famous for it's surfing, and volcanic black sand beaches.  Raglan is a beautiful, small beachside town well known as a mecca for surfers, and exudes a beachy, barefoot vibe.
Raglan Holiday Park is located right on the estuary and is an easy walk to the beach, and is central to everything you need.

Take a stroll across the footbridge to the shops and restaurants, and enjoy the local market on a Saturday morning.

Raglan is located 48k west of Hamilton, in the North Island of New Zealand.

Lake Taupo Holiday Resort

Famous for it's trout fishing.  The Lake Taupo region has activities galore, with geothermal hotspots, volcanic terrain and is tagged a the Skydiving capital of New Zealand.
Lake Taupo Holiday Resort is a large campground with superb facilities, and located only 5 mins drive up the road from the Lake, shops and restaurants.

The best thing about this campground is the lagoon pool with a swim-up bar (if you’re that way inclined).

They play movies in the pool twice a day and if you're travelling with children, be warned, you will never see them!  The kids will be so busy, that you’ll have lots of time to relax.

There’s also lots of great walks to do around Taupo.

Greymouth Seaside Top 10 Holiday Park

Famous for being the largest town on the South Island's west coast and the arrival point for the Tranz Alpine from Christchurch.  Greymouth has a history of gold mining.
The holiday park is right next to the main beach on the wild west coast.

It's a great place to stay with kids and has all the facilities you can think of, including pool table in the games room, large family room and a private spa to enjoy after a full day travel over the Arthurs Pass.

Franz Josef Top 10 Holiday Park

Famous for its walks, coastal birdlife, gold mining and spectacular glacier - Kā Roimata o Hine Hukatere (Franz Josef Glacier).
With spectacular views of the glacier, the Franz Josef Holiday Park is a great place to stay.

Don’t forget to organise a booking for the spa while you’re there and book one of the #nzmustdo helicopter rides over the Glacier.

Te Anau Top 10 Holiday Park

Famous for it's lake, and for being the gateway to Fiordland and Milford Sound.  Milford Sound is known internationally as the eighth wonder of the world, with it's majestic mountains, fiords, waterfalls and wildlife, including penguins, dolphins and seals.
The Te Anau Holiday Park was a hit with our family!

We visited in October, so it was still a bit cold in the South Island, stopping here after doing a boat trip in the Marlborough Sounds – another #nzmustdo.

The campground has a large family room with a big open fire - great place to play cards.

They also have a hot tub, but make sure you book a spot because it books up fast!

A short walk to local shops and the stunning lake.

We also recommend checking out Mirror Lakes, which are on the way to Milford Sound.
